This year, Gerard Puxhe has created a Covent Garden´s corner at LFW. A display at LDC store in Covent Garden, during the London Fashion Week September 2020.

LFW has taken place from 17-22nd September 2020. This season, the schedule has been split into three sections and included brands showing digitally, physically or both. London Fashion Week has been radically different this season.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, real-life catwalk shows have been traded for online live-streamed ones, with just a handful of designers staging socially-distanced small shows and appointments that members of the fashion industry can attend.

But a new situation can bring new opportunities, such as the furniture collaboration that Gerard has created for the temporary Lone Design Club’s unit in Covent Garden.

LDC has exhibited Gerard’s latest work and roll out this incredible corner as part of the London Fashion Month store. The one-of-a-kind display including the wallpaper Flow and Dawn collection (rug and cushions). Flow is an architetural wall mural that can be adapted to any room and can even cover it in full without repeating the pattern. His latest wallpaper model Twist, has waves on it which frequencies are modified to give a unique pattern for each customer. The same way there’s not two pieces of marble that are the same, they have different veins on it. It’s like having a unique piece of art at home.

His Covent Garden´s corner at LFW includes items from Dawn collection, the rug Dawn A1 in green and matching cushions that are made out of a new high quality and stretchy tech fabric. Gerard comments “This has been very exciting as I love LDC’s concept. The space evokes creativity, openness, and of course, it’s so cosmopolitan. Like my brand. I believe people will enjoy chilling out there and will be inspired by the vibe.”

Lone Design Club was founded in May 2018 as the result of emerging international fashion + lifestyle brands uniting with like-minded businesses in rising up, taking control and shaping the future of retail. It started by creating short term concept stores appearing for 1-2 weeks at a time, first around London and then internationally, where designers are in-store telling you first-hand accounts of how the product was designed and made.
