Damac Tower

January 18, 2021In Blog, Lifestyle

A jewel at the heart of the Nine Elms cluster, DAMAC Tower offers residential, retail, and office spaces in a graceful sculptural composition of terracotta, reconstituted stone, and glass that come together in a fresh and distinctive world-class design to create an inspiration in luxury living, inside and out. The unique and balanced architectural composition has been carefully crafted to create impressive views from every aspect of the building.

Respectful of its context, the project’s slender proportions are apparent from both local and distant views, establishing a unique identity, while responding to adjacent building forms. In a deliberate step away from the two tower format of many other developments in the Vauxhall tall buildings cluster, DAMAC Tower consists of three distinct elements: a single, slender, 550-foot private residential tower, a significantly lower affordable residential ‘south’ block of 260 feet, and a striking glazed horizontal office element bridging the two buildings and intersecting the main tower.

This balanced composition creates impressive views from every aspect of the development, delivering light and public realm at ground level and significant amenity space for users of the building. These programmatic elements are expressed distinctly, yet harmoniously, to create a vertical mixed-use community. The design features 450 apartments, which includes affordable residences, 36,000 square feet of flexible office space, and 9,000 square feet of ground floor retail. Residential units are located above the Viaduct level to ensure impressive views and allow for ideal daylight levels. Residents benefit from various open-air amenities, including a sky roof terrace above the office block and winter gardens to all units.

This residential development consists of a 50-storey North Tower and a 24-storey South Tower, situated in Nine Elms on the South Bank, in the midst of a multi-billion pound investment that is transforming the area. The North Tower features interiors by Versace Home and provides 360 residential units, five storeys of office space and a connecting sky bridge to the South Tower, which is topped by an extensive roof garden at level 23. The apartments will offer winter gardens with panoramic views of the city.

Further residential amenities include a children’s play area, an expansive indoor swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, a state-of-the-art gym, a residents’ lounge, hospitality services and 6,139 square feet of communal gardens. The works are also set to include two basement levels with a partial mezzanine floor for bike storage.

DAMAC Tower has easy access to the rest of the city and beyond. It is located within walking distance of both Vauxhall station and the Northern Line extension to Nine Elms.

Located between Vauxhall and Battersea, the Nine Elms riverside district is undergoing one of the city’s largest regeneration projects. It will be one of the greenest districts on the South Bank, with parks and footpaths accompanied by exciting new cafes, bars, restaurants, and cultural attractions. Nine Elms is already home to the New Covent Garden Market, the brand-new US Embassy and Battersea Power Station, a cherished feature of the London skyline.

It’s also blessed with almost two miles of Thames river frontage, and will be lined with cafés, bars, restaurants, cultural attractions and public space as part of the planned regeneration.
