March 11, 2021In Blog, Lifestyle

One Nine Elms is a mixed-use skyscraper scheme currently under construction in Nine Elms, London. It was originally developed by Wanda One, a UK subsidiary company of Dalian Wanda, until they sold the project to R&F Properties, another Chinese firm in 2018.

It has been designed by architects Kohn Pedersen Fox (KPF). The development will replace two towers on the site built in the 1970s called Market Towers and forms part of a wider redevelopment of the Nine Elms area of London. The project will culminate in two landmark residential towers – the tallest residential towers in Europe – linked together with a glazed bridge that will provide access to City Tower facilities.

One Nine Elm’s buildings will create over 730,000sq ft of residential space, 267,000sq ft of hotel accommodation and 1,000sq ft of retail space. The first 18 floors of the River Tower will house a 5-star hotel, including a luxury spa, ballroom and clubhouse restaurant set above the hotel-room floors. Level 50 of the City Tower will offer an impressive residential lounge and sky garden, showcasing stunning views of London across the River Thames.

City Tower

The 58-storey residential tower will be reaching 199.9 meters in height. The tower contains 382 new apartments, including 52 affordable apartments and 328 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments & 2 penthouses.

River Tower

43-storeys – 109 residential apartments will be for sale above Park Hyatt hotel.Upon completion, anticipated to be in 2022, One Nine Elms will become one of the tallest residential developments in London and the United Kingdom.

The construction of One Nine Elms is part of a wider redevelopment of the Nine Elms area of London which will include 16,000 new homes as well as the relocation of the U.S. Embassy in London from Grosvenor Square, Mayfair. T

he site is at the gateway to the Vauxhall Nine Elms Battersea Opportunity Area, which stretches from Lambeth Bridge to Battersea Power Station and has been earmarked by London’s Mayor for major redevelopment – including 16,000 new homes and 25,000 new jobs.
