The Residence London is the first of Bellway London’s developments in Nine Elms bringing much-needed new homes to the local area and is part of a wider £15 billion regeneration scheme.

Bellway London built 324 private one, two and three-bedroom apartments at The Residence development, over 19 storeys and four buildings, with each apartment finished to a high specification and with a private balcony or winter garden, off Ponton Road, on the site of the former Christie’s art warehouse.

The regeneration will involve the creation of around 20,000 new homes, 25,000 new jobs, two new tube stations, which will shorten journey times to central London, and a linear park.

Sales Director for Bellway London, Emma Hamlett, said:

“This is the first of our landmark developments in the Nine Elms regeneration zone and has been a great success story for Bellway London as well as contributing to the wider transformation of the area. The apartments that we have built at The Residence have been exceedingly popular with homebuyers and this can be seen by the speed at which they’ve sold out.”

As part of the £15 billion Nine Elms regeneration, this stunning development will help shape the future of one of the world’s most exciting cities. Incorporating London’s newest park and the new extension to the River Thames’ famed South Bank, Lexington Gardens features an abundance of open space nearby.

National and international travel will also be made simple with the Northern line extension at the upcoming Battersea and Nine Elms tube stations, providing easy access to the rest of the city and its airports. This ensures that although you will be part of London’s newest quarter, you’ll be perfectly connected to the legendary attractions for which the city is already so well renowned.

In keeping with the South Bank’s illustrious heritage, Nine Elms’ unique position and attention to industry means businesses both local and global will continue to knock on its door — following in the influential footsteps of the new US Embassy and other leading names across a variety of sectors.

The scheme designed by Maccreanor Lavington Architects in conjunction with GRID Inside Designers, features a striking exterior, complete with a brick façade and glazed coloured tiles.

The design is inspired by New York but built specifically for London. All apartments feature open plan interiors, floor to ceiling windows, walnut floors, ceramic tiling and underfloor heating combined with modern lighting. The interior common areas are also finished to a high standard, in a style that’s reminiscent of Manhattan’s high rises.

The development also includes a number of measures to help energy efficiency, including improved insulation, large windows for solar gain and community recycling facilities.
